About me

I am Sizhong Qin, currently a Ph.D. student in the Department of Civil Engineering at Tsinghua University under the supervision of Professor Xinzheng Lu. I completed my undergraduate studies in the same department, with a minor in Software Engineering.

Research Interests

  • Intelligent design and construction of building structures
  • Large Language Models (LLM) in civil engineering applications
  • Diffusion models for structural design
  • StructureClaw: an open-source AI workspace for structural engineering that turns natural-language engineering intents into traceable workflows for structural modeling, analysis, code checks, and reports.
  • AI-structure Copilot: a CAD-integrated intelligent design assistant for building structures using a local-cloud collaborative workflow for shear wall design, optimization, and analysis-model generation.

Visiting Scholar Experience

From August 2025 to February 2026, I was a Visiting Scholar at the Center for the Built Environment (CBE), University of California, Berkeley, where I collaborated with Professor Ramon Weber on intelligent architectural–structural co-design.
